A family-owned winery, a dream of a father and a daughter from Milan started in 1996 when they acquired and restored an eighteenth century's farmhouse laying on the hills around Ghemme (Novara province), upper Piedmont, surrounded by 9 hectares of proprietary vineyards.

Selva Capuzza is the merger of the Formentini's family tradition, winemakers since 1917, with events that had a huge impact on the Italian history and mankind: the bloodiest battle of the Italian Wars of Independence, the battle of San Martino and Solferino in 1859, and the establishment of the International Red Cross, by the Swiss philanthropist Henry Dunant.
