Cordoni Vini
The winery
Since four generations, Cordoni family has grown and vinified exclusively our own grapes, following a short supply chain that enhances the value of our land and reduces environmental impact. Cordoni’ wines are born from the meeting of Abruzzese tradition and a contemporary vision of winemaking, focused on quality, nature, and people. Each harvest is a new project: unique, alive, and sustainable.
Story
The company was founded in the 1960s by Antonio, who passed on his love for the land to his son Giuseppe. In the early 1970s we focused on wine production and planted most of our vineyards, using the traditional Abruzzese “tendone” system. His grandson Vincenzino improved vine-growing and winemaking with an environmentally sustainable approach. Today Giuseppe’s grandsons, Gianni and Giuseppe, are preparing to continue the family tradition. For four generations we have made wine using only our own grapes.
Our wines combine the ancient Abruzzese tradition with our passion for work. Each vintage is unique. Our goal is to produce wine with passion and full respect for nature.
The Estate
At 280 meters above sea level, our clay–sandy soils benefit from excellent sun exposure and an ideal microclimate. Here we grow the emblematic grape varieties of the region – Montepulciano d'Abruzzo and Trebbiano d'Abruzzo – alongside native varieties such as Pecorino and Passerina, preserving biodiversity and local identity.
Our goal is to craft authentic wines that express the character of the land, born from work driven by passion and responsibility, with respect for natural cycles, the environment, and future generations.
The Cellar
Quality is born from conscious choices, both in the vineyard and in the winery. Through rigorous selection, we work only with perfectly healthy grapes. Our approach is one of essential winemaking, allowing the grapes and the land to express themselves authentically.
In the winery, our spaces are designed to support every stage of the wine's journey – from vinification to ageing and maturation – following a careful and sustainable process. In our underground cellars, in oak barrels and tonneaux, our finest red wines slowly mature before bottling, guided by natural timelines that favor balance, elegance, and longevity.
