Inspired by Chryses, priest of Apollo and a figure of light and mystery, ”Crisos” is crafted from Primitivo grapes that are slowly dried to concentrate aromas, structure, and intensity. A powerful yet elegant wine, where the gentle richness of the appassimento meets depth, warmth, and harmony.
TRAINING SYSTEM: Apulian sapling
HARVEST PERIOD: October
SOIL COMPOSITION: Deep, medium-textured clay-limestone soils
WINEMAKING: The grapes are harvested when they are close to their maximum level of natural drying. They undergo cold pre-maceration, followed by maceration at a controlled temperature. After an initial aging in second-use oak barrels, the wine is transferred to first-use oak barrels to develop greater structure and additional woody aromas.
AGING: First in second-use oak barrels, followed by aging in first-use oak barrels.

CHARACTERISTICS: Deeply ripe Primitivo grapes, shaped by the dry heat of Southern Italy, produce rich, spicy black-fruit character and a firm, captivating structure. The bouquet is complex, with notes of red fruits, raisins and Marasca cherry.
