Soil: Calcareous amd clavey, exposure to the sun and the winds, soils located at about 200 meters above sea level gives the wine a unique aromas and flavour

As it is Born: GOLA is the red wine of the Consorzio San Michele di Berchidda winery, which expresses the character and structure of the grapes in Saedinia, historically cultivated in the territory, thanks to the presence of 70-80% of Cagnulari and 20-25% of Cannonau
Use of Traditional Techiniques: The wine is made through the fermentation at a controlled temperature for 12-13 days at 25℃ with the intent of preserving the aromas of the grape. The best conditions are then created to proceed with maloactic fermentation. WInes are aged in a concrete wine tanks and towards June we create the blend, which has allowed to exploit the best characteristics of each grape variety involved. All kinds of grapes are fermented separately to preserve the individual flavours and the terrior of each plot of land. Refining in stainless steel tanks for 7-8 months.
Tasting Note: THe wine has a deep ruby red colour. A red blend with classic aromas of dark berry fruit. Intense aromas of berries and plum that have a slight ripe tone on the palate, with light spicy and balsamic notes. It is warm, of good structure, with soft tannins and a pleasant freshness, which make it very harmonious. The finish is sapid and presistent.
Food Pairings: Perfect harmony with medium-aged cheeses, cured meats, red meats, spicy soy meatballs, sweet blue cheeses
Serving Temperature: 18-19℃
