Ghemme
Ghemme DOCGGhemme DOCG Pietraforata
Grape Varieties: Nebbiolo 90%, Vespolina 9%, Uva Rara 1%
A historic Piedmont wine, recognized as a DOCG (Controlled and Guaranteed Designation of Origin) in 1997, made from Nebbiolo grapes with a small percentage of Vespolina and Uva Rara.
Ruby red in color with garnet highlights, our Ghemme DOCG has an intense, complex aroma with hints of berries, blackberry, and raspberry. The flavor is dry, warm, soft, savory, and enveloping, with balanced tannins and a very refined finish.
Our Ghemme DOCG ages for 5 years in oak barrels and then refines for at least 6 months in the bottle.
Excellent with aged cheeses and meat-based main courses. It pairs well with structured dishes such as roasts and braised meats. To enhance the complex structure of Ghemme DOCG, we recommend a glass of Ghemme DOCG. It is recommended to uncork at least one hour before serving and serve at 16-18°C.
